Golfers for God 1/16/2006 - Tom C.
Golfers for God is one of Reformation's most active small group ministries. The group meets weekly, weather permitting, for fellowship and golf. The play rotates among 10 area golf courses. According to the tradition of the group, a "toast to the miracle of cereal malt beverages" follows each golf game.
Golfers for God includes a weekly offering with those funds generally directed to equipment for maintaining Reformation's lawns and the special needs of students at Oaks Indian Mission. Since the program began, more than $10,000 has been donated.
The golf is usually scheduled for a weekday afternoon. If you would like to join, or have more information, please contact any member of Golfers for God: Tom Cronk, Waldo Gerards, Dick Hasselwander, Clarence Koch, Ken Lang, John Lee, Jack Metz, Jan Moyer, Paul Ryding, Craig Stallwitz, Jerry Whetstone and Ken Woodard.

WELCAunknown - 8/10/2008
WELCA (Women of the ELCA) is an organization that builds on the strong history of women’s mission movements, Bible study, and service. WELCA at Reformation is part of the larger church, working as one congregational unit among many across the nation committed to growing in faith, affirming our gifts, supporting each other, engaging in ministry and action, and promoting healing and wholeness in the church, society, and the world.
We find our greatest support and affirmation within the context of Circles, small groups that meet monthly for fellowship, Bible study, and discussion. We share our faith, life experiences, hopes, fears, sorrows, and joys.
- Dorcas Circle meets at 1:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at the homes of members.
- Rebecca Circle meets at 10:00 on the second Thursday of each month a.m. in the church library.
- Sarah Circle meets at 1:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the homes of members.
But WELCA at Reformation is more than just Circles. Throughout the year, WELCA sponsors many initiatives designed to provide assistance to those in need, such as collection efforts for the Women’s Crisis Center and Dress for Success, visits to area nursing homes, and financial support for seminarians. A group within the group, Blanket Makers, creates quilts, blankets, and prayer shawls for any who might need them.
